I thought I would share my current stockpile for 3.3 and the next expansion. My main aim is to build up my stacks of Netherweave Cloth to create Netherweave Bags and to build up a big stockpile of gems. The hardest part of creating a stockpile of mats is you can’t see a liquid increase in your wealth – it’s all about investing for the future.

Question for the day: What are you stockpiling?
I am stockpiling saronite ore for the titanium transmute change, as well as borean leather for the arctic fur update.
Saronite Ore right now costs 15 gold per stack of 20, and I think the price of this will go through the roof as more people will be seeking out titanium bars to generate into titansteel.
Arctic Fur’s are never on the auction house and when they are, they are priced at 90 gold plus.
These are just two very specific markets I feel that I can reap some good rewards on.
Check out the Auc-Util-BigPicture addon. It’s a plugin for Auctioneer that calculates the total value of your cash + inventory. I find it reassuring to watch my “net worth” grow even if my cash balance is shrinking.
why the mid level JC mats for 3.3? I frequently flip these as a tax for leveling JC, but what’s coming up that will mean more JC alts?
I’ve been stockpiling Netherweave for a while now. I’m still selling 5-10 bags a day to keep some liquid gold (I don’t have enough to heavily invest, yet), but I’m holding onto about twice as much as I sell just to keep the reserves in place.
Borean leather and saronite Ore.
Why? Because you will be able to buy Arctic Furs with Borean leather so I hope for a increase in the price also Borean leather will be needed for all Icecrown leathere patterns. Saronite Ore because the drop-rate is supposed to be nerfed and for Alchemists being able to transmute to titanium without cooldown. On my server i buy Saronite Ore for 9g / stack and Borean Leather for 8g / stack

My guess is there will be a heap of new people leveling JC. If you can control the Thorium Ore market, you can control a key blockage point for leveling JCers.
Large Opal, Azerothian Diamond, Huge Emerald currently go for around 20g each when the AH dries up – so imagine how much they will go for with a huge increase in demand.
