Updating gold blogs – need your input
Hey
I’m going to move servers tomorrow as well as update the gold blogs. I would love your input on what blogs are the best and if there are any new ones I should feature.

Ding! 100k
Over the weekend I was able to hit 100,000 liquid gold
In the patch week I was able to sell off around 75,000g worth of epic gems.
The big winner was Eternal Shadows. Pre-patch I picked up around 400 for under 4g each. They are now selling for around 11g each. A nice little bonus.
Because Infinite Dust prices have dropped heaps, I have been using them to make Frostweave Bags instead of selling the mats.
The biggest change to my money making business is there is now no demand for Snowfall Ink. I’m not sure what I’m going to do about that. It’s good that I’m making enough from glyphs to make a profit without having to sell the Snowfall Ink.
It would be great if Bliz made some new uses for the ink. Maybe as enchanting mats? ..Or the ability to convert them into Ink of the Sea.

Return of the 150g Glyph
I hope everyone is taking advantage of the new patch. Don’t be afraid to price the new glyphs high, I’ve sold a few at 150g so far.
Anyone had any luck selling the new bag?

QA vs Auctioneer + My Glyph Posting Strat
There is an epic discussion going on over at Greedy Goblin over the best pricing and posting strategy to use for selling glyphs.
The person who was making the most sense was Lite. I really like this comment he made:
========================================
@Gevlon True. If I am making literally 0 profit or at a loss. I will leave the market temporarily.
But say the material price of a glyph is 2g(Seems to be the case on my server). AS long as I am selling my glyphs for >2g I will stay on the market. But you will continue to drive the market down.
Example:
Gevlon logs on after his 48 hour cycle and relists all of his glyphs at 6g(I know thats not the case as your median price is dynamic but follow me here)
I log on and cancel/relist my glyphs at 5g99s.
The next 48 hours I will sell all of my glyphs at 5g99s.
You will sell none at 6g.
Next week you post your glyphs at 5g99s-60s=5g39s.
Once again I cancel/relist. this would continue for 6,6 cycles untill the prices finally reach my threshold(material cost). I will cancel my glyphs and as long as the prices on glyphs are < material cost you will “own” the market.
I will continue to spend 3-4 hours a day online, making money off of my other business, doing a daily scan of the glyph market to see if its worth diving back in. If it isn’t I’ll keep out. The second you relist your glyphs at 6g I will jump back in though.
So again, Am i misunderstanding something or are you simply assuming that you will win in the end because you’ve got more patience and whoever uses QA2 will leave the market for good once he’s been beaten and the prices never fallback to the redicilous 59g49s that MMO-Champion seem to think is a great idea?
========================================
This is my main problem with Gevlon’s glyph posting strategy. It is something I saw firsthand trying to work out how I would price my glyphs. The post-MMO Glyph market is much faster paced with every man and his dog using QA2. On my server you NEED to be aggressive or you will always be undercut. Even when the glyph price resets, someone will be there to undercut you.
My posting strategy is pretty simple, though I have not seen anyone discuss doing the same thing.
- Craft around 10 of every glyph I can create – about 85% now.
- Post 2 glyphs with a 60s undercut.
- If the lowest glyph is under my threshold (2g) I will post 2 at my fall back price (7g).
- If there are no glyphs I will post 2 at my fall back price.
- Then roughly twice a day I logon to my three glyph bank alts, click Post, then a few minutes later I will have re-undercut, reposted sold glyphs, or skipped the glyphs where I am the lowest cost.
- The key to the strategy is I don’t cancel any auction and if my lower cost glyphs sell, then I will have more expensive ones available too.
This strategy is a combination of Gelvon’s 48hr post and leave with the added aggressiveness of undercutting to drive the price down and discourage other players.
After looking into all the major ways of posting glyphs, this seems to have the most advantages. What do you think?

My Stockpile for 3.3
I thought I would share my current stockpile for 3.3 and the next expansion. My main aim is to build up my stacks of Netherweave Cloth to create Netherweave Bags and to build up a big stockpile of gems. The hardest part of creating a stockpile of mats is you can’t see a liquid increase in your wealth – it’s all about investing for the future.

Making gold while raiding with JC/DE
If you are in a semi-hardcore raiding guild, there is always going to be time when you are waiting around for the next pull.
This can be a great time to create your JC rings to DE.

20,000 Netherweave Bags
On my server we have around 7000 Alliance toons. If most people roll a Worgen, there will be demand for around 20,000 netherweave bags. The mutant wolves will need some cheap bag space!
To prepare for this, I am buying up all the netherweave cloth I can get my hands on.
A quick tip, though it’s more common sense, is to store your cloth as netherweave bolts – not bags – to save on space.
Anyone else doing this?

Must See: Video Guide to Kevmar's KTQ
Kevmar’s KTQ is an addon which makes crafting glyphs much easier. I tried to get it working
but found Kevmar’s instructions a bit hard to follow.
Thank you Sarainy from AH-Whoring for creating a gread video guide.
